- Section 8 Apartments: Neighbor to Neighbor has 2 project-based Section 8 programs. This means that qualifying low-income families pay no more than 30% of adjusted monthly income toward rent and the difference is subsidized by HUD.
- Affordable Apartments: Neighbor to Neighbor's affordable housing program is based on Federal US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) guidlines. A housing situation is "Affordable" when the household does not pay more than 30% of combined income towards housing. A combined family of 4 earning $20,040 a year paying $500 per month would be considered an Affordable situation. If you earn less than $20,040 per month you might be a good candatite for our Section 8 Apartments. Neighbor to Neighbor's Affordable housing program is designed for individuals and families who earn between 30% - 80% Area Median Income (AMI) -- between $22,500 - $60,000 a year for a family of four. Click here for a full AMI description and chart. N2N follows governement recommendations that a family should not pay more than 30% of their income towards rent. Neighbor to Neighbor's affordable rents are typically lower than market rents. See guidlines and an N2N property staff member to determine if you might qualify for one of our apartment homes.
