Post Event Update: 140 More Families Will Now Have Access to Stable Housing
What an incredible evening at this year’s Welcome Home Benefit!
More than 220 guests attended this year’s sold-out event, reflecting a strong and growing community of supporters, partners, elected officials, and neighbors dedicated to expanding access to affordable housing in Northern Colorado. Attendees included Larimer County Commissioner John Kefalas and Fort Collins Mayor Pro Tem Julie Pignataro, and City Council members Melanie Potyondy and Anne Nelsen, highlighting local support for housing affordability.
The evening began with a happy hour and live music on The Lincoln Center terrace, followed by an open buffet, a wine pull, and a brief program in the Canyon West Ballroom. Guests viewed a short film highlighting residents whose lives have been transformed through Neighbor to Neighbor’s affordable housing communities.
A highlight was the excitement surrounding the original watercolor by artist and N2N resident Henry Groenewald. The enthusiasm for his artwork added to the energy and excitement of an already incredible evening.
The evening concluded with a spirited live auction and paddle raise. Thanks to attendees’ generosity, the event exceeded its $90,000 goal, raising more than $140,000 to help 140 additional families access stable housing and opportunity.
