Volunteers are an integral part of Neighbor to Neighbor and all the ways we can help our community. In order to continue that amazing work and keep everyone safe, we are asking all volunteers to adhere to our COVID-19 safety protocols.

Do Not Volunteer If Sick!

Do NOT volunteer if you have experienced a fever, cough, or shortness of breath within the past 48 hours.

Practice Social Distancing

Strive to keep a distance of at least 6 feet between you and any other participants.

Wear a Mask

This is the best way to protect you and all the people in our community we are trying to help!

Wash Your Hands

Please start your shift by washing your hands for at least 20 seconds. If you touch your face, handle your mask, or cough or sneeze without a mask, wash your hands again before continuing your task. We also recommend washing your hands once your volunteer time is over.

Limit Group Activities

Volunteering can be a fun and fulfilling way to spend time with people in your community, but large groups increase the risk of COVID infection. In addition to requirements for mask use and social distancing, we are limiting volunteer groups to 10 people per project. More than 10 people may volunteer on the same day, but they will be assigned different tasks to allow for effective social distancing.

Be Cautious Both On- and Off-Site

Keep in mind that interacting with others in any context right now carries the risk of spreading COVID-19. Please take these guidelines seriously during your volunteer time as well as outside of it to best protect yourself, your fellow volunteers, and the community we are serving.
